Built on Real Manufacturing Capability
MPSI is backed directly by specialized propulsion and power transmission manufacturing infrastructure in Wuxi. Delivering precision CNC gear machining, heavy overhead crane assembly bays, 3D CFD hydrodynamic modeling, and full-power IACS-witnessed test pool validation.
Four Pillars of Propulsion Manufacturing
Every marine propulsion system is manufactured and validated through an integrated engineering workflow—from large-scale precision CNC machining to dynamic vibration verification and surveyor-witnessed factory acceptance testing.
Heavy Propulsion Assembly Bays & Laser Alignment
Dedicated high-bay assembly hall equipped with heavy-duty overhead travelling cranes engineered to handle massive thruster housings. Features multi-axis mechanical integration rigs and laser-guided alignment systems to guarantee deviation-free propeller shaft alignment and thrust bearing seating.
- Digital laser-guided shaft concentricity and axial runout verification.
- High-torque steering column and heavy mounting flange mechanical integration.
- Strict clean-room seal fitment preventing seawater ingress under deep submergence.
Heavy CNC Machining & Precision Gear Fabrication
Heavy machining floor equipped with large gantry milling centers, heavy horizontal boring machinery, and Klingelnberg spiral bevel gear hobbing equipment. Engineered to machine ductile iron thruster housings, planetary gear carriers, and drive shafts up to 5,000 kW with micron-level tolerances.
- Spiral bevel gear tooth hobbing, precision grinding, and tooth contact pattern verification.
- Multi-stage heat treatment (carburizing & quenching) ensuring high-torque shock resistance.
- Rigid CMM coordinate measurement verifying exact structural tolerances against CAD models.
Full-Power Load Test Bed & Dynamic Simulation (FAT)
Dedicated testing basin and dynamometer test rig conducting pre-delivery full-power load simulation, continuous hydraulic steering loop validation, bearing lubrication temperature monitoring, and FFT digital vibration spectrum analysis prior to shipyard dispatch.
- 100% Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) conducted on complete thruster units.
- Continuous steering endurance test and 360-degree azimuth rotation response timing.
- Dynamic blade balancing verification at full continuous operational RPM.
QA Inspection & IACS Class Surveyor Certification
Comprehensive quality assurance protocol executed and witnessed directly by classification society surveyors across major IACS members. All structural castings, forged shafts, and gear steels undergo strict non-destructive testing (NDT) with complete certified material traceability.
- Non-destructive testing: Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT).
- Bevel gear tooth contact footprint and mechanical backlash validation under load.
- Full EN 10204 3.2 material certificate traceability and official class survey sign-off.
Standard Manufacturing & Quality Assurance Workflow
Chemical spectrometry analysis and tensile testing of forged alloy shafts and Cu3 bronze castings.
Micron-tolerance multi-axis milling, carburized heat treatment, and precision gear grinding.
Laser-guided shaft alignment, dual underwater mechanical seals, and flange bolt torque checks.
Pre-delivery dynamometer FAT, FFT vibration analysis, and official IACS surveyor sign-off.
